Advocating for access to financial services
for all Americans

ABOUT US

In recent years, access to basic financial services – including check cashing and short-term loans – has been threatened by punitive federal, state and local government legislative and regulatory initiatives. In response, the Coalition for Financial Choice was formed. The Coalition is composed of trade associations, companies and third parties who have a common interest in seeing this access maintained and expanded. Through an aggressive advocacy campaign, the Coalition educates key stakeholders about the importance of maintaining access to these services for the millions of Americans who rely upon them. It also advocates on behalf of the alternative financial service providers that deliver these products and services and the important role the industry plays in the economy. As a result of this campaign, the Coalition seeks to create a more hospitable environment for this industry to provide the products and services its consumers need.
